As far back as I can remember the one thing I remember most was Meme's kind and loving demeanor. I had the luck of having her raise me with my aunts and uncles who to this day feel like brothers and sisters. I still remember the pancakes Meme used to make (and sneak the occasional shot from the syrup bottle) growing up on Shawnee road. She would hose me down when I came back from the fields and never once was upset that I managed to get covered in mud.
As an adult I was proud of the way Meme opened her arms to welcome my family. She always showered them with love and my wife and children always felt part of the Ouellette family as if there were Meme's own children.
She will be missed but never forgotten.

Gisele, Monique, Paul, Roger and Richard,
Your folks lived next door to us on Curtis in Dearborn for a short time. It was the first time I ever saw grownups kissing. (Parents, of course, don’t count - and wasn’t quite the same). Of course I have lots of other regular family memories but I always loved them for being a married couple in love.
Your mom was a special favorite.
Love from your cousins
