To Rick's family, I want to send my my deepest condolences to his family for this incredible loss. I just found out in early February while at the Riverside Sportsmen with guys from our Local 200 Wednesday golf league that "Duke" had passed away. We were having a discussion about Plant #3 in the mid 1970's when I worked there and Rick's name came up. When one of the guys mentioned that Rick had passed away awhile ago. I felt terrible that I had missed this from almost a year ago. Rick and I played lob ball and slow pitch together for a number of years. Then after a few years had passed I would see him at Boblo Island Amusement Park where I worked, for the Local 444 family picnic. It was always great seeing Rick over the years. In 1997 I was now in the casino business back in Windsor and I was asked to be on the negotiating team for Casino Windsor and Rick was the lead negotiator for Local 444. Through that experience and over the years that followed until he retired, I grew to have even have a even deeper respect for Rick Schneider and the job he did representing the union members under the Local 444 umbrella. Rick was a great guy who always stood up for what he believed in, which of course always best for their members. Rest in peace my Friend, Gerry Finnegan
