Obituary of Joan Taylor

Taylor, Joan Cecile (nee Neveu)

May 11, 1943 - April 2, 2021

Passed away peacefully at home after a long battle with cancer. Loving mother of Donna Lisinski (Roger Lemmon) and Denise Taylor (Gary). Grandmother of Brian Taylor (Ada), Christopher Taylor (Kait), Matthew Lemmon (Erin) and great grandmother to Brooke and Claire Taylor. Dear sister of Carol Rivait (Tom), Darlene Kreitzer, Larry Neveu (Jill). Predeceased by brother Ken Neveu (2007), and sister Donna (1942), and parents Maurice and Audrey Neveu. Special aunt to many nieces and nephews she cared very deeply for. Joan was a driver for the Children's Aid Society for years, then became a key part of Donna Mae's Diner, her homemade date squares being very popular. Joan became a great friend and travel companion to Arlene Lemmon at and away from the diner. She enjoyed getting to know many wonderful customers and employees at the diner. Joan truly appreciated the simple things in life so many take for granted! She loved her 5 cruises and Europe and Thailand vacations, but she truly cherished all and any family or friend gatherings. Great thanks to many wonderful nurses and PSW's from St. Elizabeth and Bayshore for their homecare assistance with Joan. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at a future date. In lieu of flowers, Joan would appreciate donations to the Essex County Humane Society as she was a lover of all animals. Raise a glass and have a cheer as you know she is cheering you back, you bet!
