Our family was so saddened to learn of your mom’s passing.
Growing up, I mainly viewed Mrs. Dumouchelle as my ‘friend’s mother’. After I returned to the neighbourhood as an adult, I valued her, for herself. I enjoyed chatting with her as I passed by her porch. I learned about her love of reading, her ready wit, and her engaging personality, even though I often had to shout my replies!
The block has lost this physically diminutive lady but she leaves behind a huge void.
Thank you Mrs. Dumouchelle, it was a privilege to know you. May you rest in perpetual light.
