Obituary of Raffaele Mannella

MANNELLA, Raffaele Passed away peacefully on March 24, 2021 at Extendicare Tecumseh, at the age of 90. Reunited with his beloved wife Bettina (nee DeMarco) (2017). Father to Rose Dessario (Doug) and Sam Mannella. Nonno to Danielle, Kristen, Corey, Natalie, Adam, Aiden, and Bis-Nonno to 9 great-grandchildren. Dear brother to Assunta Mancina of Italy, and predeceased by 3 brothers and 1 sister. Also survived by many brothers and sister in laws, nieces and nephews here and abroad. Raffaele emigrated to Canada in 1966 to make a better life for his family. He was a hard-working man who always ensured that the welfare of his family was first and foremost. Raffaele enjoyed spending his days attending to his fig trees and garden where he grew tomatoes, eggplants, and green beans. A heartfelt and sincere thank you to the staff at Extendicare Tecumseh, especially Renee for the compassionate care provided to Raffaele and his family. A private visitation and funeral service will be held at Windsor Chapel (Central Chapel) 1700 Tecumseh Rd. E. (519) 253-7234, followed by entombment at Heavenly Rest Cemetery.
