Obituary of Kathryn Margaret Romano (McLellan)

Passed away peacefully on January 18, 2020 at age 82. Beloved wife of the late Dr. Walter L. Romano (1994). Loving mother of Teresa (Enio Coletti), Bill (Cindy), Paul, Richard (Anne), and Chris (Michelle Callegari). Dearest grandma of Andrew, Natasha, Sean, Amy, Amanda, Sara, Eric, Michael, and Remy. Survived by her brother David McLellan (Yoonkyung Sohn), sisters-in-law Bianca DeLuca (Romano) and Dorothy McLellan (Anderson) and many loving nieces and nephews and their families. She was preceded in death by her brother, Dan and sister, Ann and brother-in-law, Armando DeLuca. Kathryn was a graduate of St. Mary’s Academy and Hotel-Dieu of St. Joseph School of Nursing. She was a long-time member of The Windsor Curling Club, Essex Golf & Country Club and the Windsor Rose Quester Chapter. Special thanks to the caring staff at Dolce Vita, Seasons Royal Oak and Huron Lodge. Visitation at WINDSOR CHAPEL (Central Chapel) 1700 Tecumseh Rd. E. 519-253-7234 on Tuesday, January 21, 2020 from 5-8pm. Parish prayers at 7:15pm. Family and friends will be received at Immaculate Heart Catholic Parish (2153 Parkwood Ave.) on Wednesday, January 22, 2020 for visitation from 9:30am until the Funeral Mass at 10am. Interment to follow at Heavenly Rest Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer Society of Canada or the Society of Saint Vincent de Paul are appreciated.
