Obituary of Thomas Nelson Bradd

BRADD, Thomas

August 29, 1940-March 15, 2021

Passed away peacefully on March 15, 2021 at the age of 80 with his loving family by his side. Predeceased by his wife Mary Sue (2014). Loving and devoted father of Tom Bradd (Kim), Kelly Garneau (Pete) and Wendy Hart (Mike). Tom was survived by his first wife and dear friend Brenda Bradd. Cherished grandfather of Courtney (Bryan), Nicole (Chad), Dave (Shauna), T.J., Spencer, Zak and Eric and great grandfather of Bo, Vaughn, Wyatt and Brynlee. Dear brother of Susan Foreman (Keith). Dear uncle of Kristy (Brad) and Kraig (Heather). Tom was also survived by Mary Sue’s children Brian Sterling (Carla), Jennifer Burraway (Theron) and the late Scott Sterling and their families.  Tom started his working career as an OPP Officer and then continued his service to the community as a firefighter with the Windsor Fire Department. He completed his working career as a Building Inspector with the City of Windsor and surrounding area after 30 years of service. He was an avid hockey and baseball player and was one of the founding members of the Windsor Old Timer’s Hockey Association. Tom was a longstanding member at Beach Grove Golf and Country Club. He loved spending his winters at his second home at Glen Eagle in Naples, Florida where he loved golfing and spending time with his friends and family. His greatest source of pride was his family. He had an infectious smile and a zest for life. His positivity was felt by everyone he was around, and he will be dearly missed by all who loved him. The family wishes to give a special thank you to the staff at Amica Retirement Residence for all of your comforting and exceptional compassionate care, especially the nursing team, as well as the staff at Hospice, Paramed and the VON for all your support and guidance. Let’s raise a glass of scotch and toast to a life well lived.  In keeping with Tom’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A private family service will be held at a later date. If you desire,  donations made to the Hospice of Windsor and Essex County or the Iris House of Windsor would be greatly appreciated.  Arrangements entrusted to the Windsor Chapel Funeral Home (Banwell Chapel) 11677 Tecumseh Road, 519-253-7234.
