MION, Alfredo
Passed away on March 3, 2021. Devoted husband and soulmate of Julianne (nee Janisse) with whom he celebrated 56 years of marriage. Loving dad to Renata (John) Greaves, Vanda (Alan) Goyeau. Eric (Tracy) Mion. Cherished grandpa to Jonathan and Robbie. Alfredo is joining his parents and sister Marino and Maria Mion and Lisetta Mion. Dear nephew of Liliana Pilote, Edda (late Silvano) D'Andrea of Italy. Gabriele (Manuela), Donatella (Felice), Dario (Gavina), Cathia, nieces and nephews in Italia. Dear Brother-in-law to Marie and Randy Janisse, Joyce (late Jules 2014) Janisse, Sharon Janisse (Rudy) & late Albemy (2006). Dear uncle of Leon (Lesley), Dr. Michael (Juliana), Philip (Dawn), Chris (Julie), Dr. Frank (Gloria), Renee, James (Kelly), April (Clint) Baxter, Glen and all the great nieces and nephews. Alfredo retired from Valiant Machine and Tool after 46 years of service. He was a member of the Fogolar Furlan Club for 53 years where he was an anchorman for the Tug-of-War Team. A founding member and president of the Essex-Kent Cage Bird Society for 46 years. His passion and love of birds was breeding them, showing/exhibiting and judging them and tending to his garden. Special thanks to all the nurses, doctors and the virtual visits personel for all their care to Alfred and our family. Visitation will be held at WINDSOR CHAPEL (Central) 1700 Tecumseh Rd. E. 519-253-7234 on Sunday, March 7, 2021 from 2-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. A private service will be held on Monday, March 8, 2021, followed by burial at St. Alphonsus Cemetery.
