BOMBEN, Pietro 

January 4, 1927-March 4, 2021 

Passed away peacefully at the age of 94 at Extendicare-Southwood Lakes. Loving and devoted husband of Irma (nee Campaner) for 65 years.  Dear father of Luciana Marier (Dan) and Laura Bomben-Grosso (Randy). Cherished nonno of Daniela Marier-Perissinotti (Daniel), Peter Marier (JiaYu), Kristen Grosso and Luke Grosso. Dear brother of Aldo Bomben (Agnese), Norma Colussi (Mario) and the late Giuditta (1937). Dear brother in-law of Severino (Gianna) and the late Olga (Nino), Jole (Dino) and Monsignor Mario. Also survived by many nieces and nephews in Canada and Italy. Predeceased by his parents Sante and Virginia Bomben and his in-laws Eliseo and Antonia Campaner. A special thank you to the doctors, nurses and all staff at Extendicare-Southwood Lakes for all your loving care and compassion.  In his spare time, Pietro could be found repairing radios and televisions, working in his vegetable garden, making wine and playing briscola with his grandkids. For many years he cared for and had a passion for a variety of birds.  He was an avid soccer and Formula 1 fan, but his pride and joy was spending time making memories with his family. Visiting at WINDSOR CHAPEL (South Chapel) 3048 Dougall Avenue, 519-253-7234 on Monday, March 8, 2021 from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. Parish prayers at 4:30 p.m. Reservations are required for visiting and the funeral Mass. Please call the funeral home at 519-253-7234 between the hours of 8:30 am and 4:00 pm to reserve your spot. Family and friends are asked to meet at St. Angela Merici Church (980 Louis Avenue), on Tuesday, March 9, 2021 for funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. Private family entombment to follow at Heavenly Rest. Please note: Masks must be worn at all times while in the funeral home, church and cemetery.  If you desire, donations may be made to St. Angela Merici Church.
