Obituary of Ondrej Recnik

Ondrej Recnik 

May 19, 1936 - March 3, 2021 

Passed away peacefully at the age of 84 years.  Loving Husband of Ana Recnik (Nee Benko) for 64 years.  Beloved Father of Ana (The Late Jan) Stano, and Ondrej Recnik. Adored Apko of Jessica, Jonathan, and Jaclyn Stano. Grandfather of Ondrej, Allan, Pavel, and Susie Recnik. Predeceased by his parents Ondrej (Julka Nee Kolarova) and Marka (Nee Mravik) Recnik  Dear Brother of the Late Maria Canji (Nee Recnik). Uncle of Mike (Vlasta) Canji, and Maria (David) Kmet.  You could often find Ondrej in his garden or at the water fishing. He was a hardworking, proud Slovak, and he will be dearly missed by many extended family members both in Canada and Yugoslavia.  
Visitation will be held at WINDSOR CHAPEL (Central Chapel) 1700 Tecumseh Road E, 519-253-7234 on Friday March 5th, 2021 from 2:00pm-4:00pm and 6:00pm-9:00pm with a prayer service at 8:00pm. Funeral Service will take place in the chapel on Saturday March 6, 2021 at 10:00am. Burial to follow at Windsor Memorial Gardens. Reservations and masks are required to attend Visitation, Funeral Service and Cemetery. Please call Windsor Chapel between the hours of 8:30am and 4:00pm to make your reservation for the Visitation, Funeral Service and Cemetery.
