Obituary of Gerry Martin Lesa

Our hearts are broken because we have lost a kind and wonderful man. Gerry passed away peacefully, on Friday, December 13 at home, with his family by his side. Gerry fought a brave, 5 year battle with pancreatic cancer. Beloved husband and best friend of Sue (nee Grocott) for 54 years. Loving father of Amy (Andrew) Archibald and Angie (Bill) Mooney and former father-in-law of Danilo (Nikki) Castillo. Proud grandfather of Madison and Meg Mooney, Talia and Harlow Castillo and Zoe Archibald. Brother to Peter (Arlene) Lesa, Marg O’Shaughnessy, Doug (Wanda) Lesa, Bob (Brenda) Lesa, Kathy Munro, and Rosemary (Mirek) Pospech. Brother-in-law to John (Judy) Grocott. Respected uncle to many nieces and nephews. Gerry was the founder and owner of SWT Group in Windsor. He was always very active in the community and loved being involved and helping others. A special thank you to Dr. John Mathews, Dr. Anil Dhar, and to all the compassionate staff at Hospice of Windsor. Visitation at WINDSOR CHAPEL (Banwell Chapel) 11677 Tecumseh Rd. E. on Wednesday, December 18, 2019 from 2-5 and 7-9pm. Visitation to continue on Thursday, December 19, 2019 from 10am until time of Celebration of Life at 10:30am. Cremation to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Hospice of Windsor Essex or the Windsor-Essex County Cancer Centre Foundation would be greatly appreciated by the family.
