Obituary of Kenneth John Martin
It is with broken hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Kenny, a beloved husband, brother, and friend on November 11, 2019 at the age of 76. Loving husband and best friend of 48 years to Lydia (nee Korovitsch). Predeceased by his parents James and Emma Martin, and brother Melvin Martin (2019). Loving brother to Bonnie Bigras (Dennis Jee). Dear brother in-law to Victor Korovitsch, Kathie Keichinger (Frank), and Stan Korovitsch. Also survived by many nieces and nephews throughout Canada. Ken retired from Chrysler Canada with over 30 years of dedicated service and was a member of Unifor Local 444. Ken enjoyed 5 pin bowling with his fellow retirees. He was an avid gardener at home and at his church. He will be missed by his friends who he spent time with enjoying coffee every Tuesday at Tecumseh Mall. A heartfelt thank you to Doctors, Nurses and Staff at WRH-Ouellette Campus (CCU and ICU) and London Health Sciences Centre, University Campus, (Cardiac Care Unit) for their exceptional and compassionate care provided to Kenny. Visitation at WINDSOR CHAPEL (Central Chapel) 1700 Tecumseh Rd. E., 519-253-7234 on Thursday, November 14, 2019 from 3-5pm and 7-9pm. Panihida (Prayers) Thursday at 7:30pm. Friends will be received for visitation on Friday, November 15, 2019 at Holy Trinity Russian Orthodox Church (1410 Drouillard Rd.) from 9am until time of Funeral Service at 10am. Very Rev. Fr. Theodore Gacanin officiating. Interment to follow at Windsor Memorial Gardens. As an expression of sympathy and to honour Ken, memorial donations may be made to Holy Trinity Russian Orthodox Church Building Fund or Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario.
