Obituary of Lillian Mary Zannese

Zannese, Lelia (Lillian) (nee Rossit) Sunrise: June 5, 1925 Sunset: October 17, 2019. Passed away peacefully at Extendicare-Tecumseh at 94 years of age. Reunited with her beloved husband Mario (1992). Devoted mother of Sandra and husband Clare McKellar (Ingersoll), Rick and wife Josie (Tecumseh) and David and wife Dawn (London). Dear nonna of Liana McKellar (London). Beloved daughter of the late Antonio and Agnese Rossit. Cherished daughter-in-law of the late Giuseppe and Albina Zannese (Pordenone, Italy). Predeceased by her siblings Lelio Rossit, Mary Fase (Harry). Dear sister-in-law of the late Luigi Zannese and his surviving wife Santa and the late Egisto Zannese and his surviving wife Antonietta (Pordenone, Italy). Special aunt to Mary & Claude Begin. Much loved adopted member of the Sansotta family. Loving best friend of the late Elsa Zanetti. Lelia was born in Chions, Italy and immigrated to Canada with her family when she was 11 years old. She was proud of her Italian-Canadian heritage and spoke and wrote both languages fluently. In her younger years, Lelia enjoyed crocheting and knitting. She was an avid reader and enjoyed doing crossword puzzles. Lelia was a proud member of the Giovanni Caboto Women’s Auxiliary.
