Oh Laurie...thank you for reminding me of all of those childhood memories! I forgot that our tree was "home" for hide and seek! Hahahaha. My kids probably wouldn't even know what I am talking about. Dear Danny, Joanne, Justin, Jason, Jared, and families, from the bottom of our hearts, we send you our Condolences, and tight hug. We are so sorry to hear of your Dad, Nonno's passing. How much he was loved came across so much whenever you talked about him, Danny, and what an amazing father he had to have been, because if you are anything like him, Danny, he "was" and still "is" in Heaven, a wonderful, loving soul. All I can say is THANK YOU Mr. M. for the beautiful memories I've held on to through many years of my life. Great neighbour's, lifelong friends and a guiding force for me in life...teaching me about what family truely means. Memories of you and the family station wagon, taking all of you to church on Sunday's to you and your push lawnmower and sitting on the porch with the watering hose (my 1st memories)...always having such a meticulous yard. Your tree was always home for hide and seek, your home always a place I was always welcome. You were a stern but wonderful Dad even though I recall some rabbit stew and the bunny was gone ...hope Bobby's ear wasnt in there too. Gullable me! Everyone in the neighbourhood knew your whistle and all 7 knew to get home. Had my first glass of wine at your family dining table where you all assembled. Family was what your family taught me. You eventually taught me how to make your great Italian pasta sauce, made me a heartfelt "Laurie ' s Garden" sign with your woodworking skills and I can still see your beautiful smile and feel your warm hug the last time we were together. Thank you for the beautiful memories Mr. M! I will always hold you and Mrs. M dear to my heart for having me as your 8th child while growing up.
