Obituary of Romana Castanares

CASTANARES, Romana (nee Nayre) February 28, 1943 – September 4, 2019 It is with much sorrow that we announce the passing of Romana “Mai”. Predeceased by loving husband, Ernesto, of whom shared 46 years of marriage. Cherished mother of Erma Goulet and Ellen Maravilla (Edwin). Proud Lola to Jasmin, Jordon, Alexis and Ashley. Sister to Anasterio “Nonoy”(Vicky), Bernardo “Bebot” (Agnes), late Jose (Elma), late Patricio, late Daday, late Trinidad, late Gregorio (Caring). Cherished aunt to Joselle (Jon), Joel (Lani), Jennifer (Marden), Jeto (Vangie), Ray (Peachy), Ioulany (Jillius), Joey (Lorna), Gian, Angel, Gerald, Greco, Jun Jun. She will be missed by the Nayre, Bacarro, Magallanes, Lalas, Morales, Ferolin, Castanares, Novicio, & Maravilla families, BNP Prayer family, Mahjong group, extended family and close friends in Windsor. She enjoyed her career as a pediatric nurse and was deeply devoted to her catholic faith. She will be remembered for her fun loving spirit and her love for family and friends. Visitation at WINDSOR CHAPEL (Banwell Chapel), 11677 Tecumseh Road, East (519-253-7234) on Sunday, September 8th, 2019 from 2 – 4 pm and 6 – 8 pm. Parish prayers at 7 pm. Visitation will continue at St. Anne’s Parish (Tecumseh), 12233 Tecumseh Road, East on Monday, September 9th, 2019 from 9:30 am until time of funeral mass at 10:30 am. Burial to follow at St. Anne’s Cemetery. In kindness, memorial donations can be made to the Kidney foundation.
