Obituary of Ivica Jurkovic

JURKOVIC, Ivica "John" It is with broken hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Ivica, a loving husband, father and grandfather, on September 2, 2019 at the age of 63. Beloved husband of Linda (nee Bacic) with whom he celebrated 41years of marriage. Loving and devoted father to Shane Jurkovic (Ally) and Jacqueline Jurkovic. Cherished grandfather to Arianna Marie and Logan Ely. Predeceased by parents Stanko (1971) and Slavka (2017) Jurkovic, and brother Vencek (2011) and surviving wife Katica (nee Bacic). Dear son in-law to Katie "Kata" Bacic and late husband Ilija "Ely"(2015). Ivica is survived by his nephews, Stanislav and Vjenceslav and family, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends in Canada and Croatia. Ivica was an employee of Vistaprint. He was a member of the Croatian Mixed Bowling League and Pointe West Golf Club. In his free time, he was an avid golfer and bowler and enjoyed boating in South Western Ontario. A heartfelt and sincere thank you to the staff at Pointe West Golf Club, Windsor Essex EMS and the staff at WRH, Ouellette Campus for your assistance and compassionate care provided to Ivica. Visitation at WINDSOR CHAPEL(Central Chapel) 1700 Tecumseh Rd. E. (519)253-7234 on Friday, September 6, 2019 from 2-5pm and 7-9pm. Parish prayers Friday at 8pm. Funeral service on Saturday, September 7, 2019 at 10:15am from the funeral home then to St. Francis of Assisi Church for Funeral Mass at 11am. Cremation to follow. As an expression of sympathy and to honour Ivica's life, memorial donations may be made for an Educational Trust Fund for his grandchildren, Arianna and Logan Jurkovic (please make cheque payable to Shane Jurkovic).
