Murdock, David (Alan) <br/>It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of our brother David Alan Murdock, born March 10, 1964 in Windsor Alan went home to be with the Lord on December 23, 2020 reunited with his partner Dr. Robert Cornette (2018), parents Donald (2007) and Stella (January 2020) and sister in law Margaret Murdock (2018.)<br/>Survived by brothers Ron ,Michael and Dennis Murdock, sister Ann Marie Diett, brother in law Phillip ,sister in law Maggie and many nephews and nieces. <br/>Alan grew up in Windsor, a graduate of Assumption High School. His early working life found him at the Chicken Court Restaurant working with his mother Stella and brother Ron. Later driving for Windsor Drywall and a short haul freight company. <br/>Alan found his life partner of over twenty five years in Dr. Robert Cornette during which he developed an interest in psychology, opera and the arts. He liked country music and was a long time fan of the Red Wings and Tigers.<br/>Tragedy struck in 2016 when he suffered a stroke which robbed him of both the ability to speak and walk and confined him to a wheelchair.<br/>Alan spent the remaining years of his life as a resident of Sunrise Senior Living in Windsor. Where he became a favourite of the residents who would greet him with a wave and a smile and the occasional hug which brought a smile to his face.<br/>We would like to extend our sincere thanks to all the caregivers and staff at Sunrise for their kindness, compassion and care. Our thanks are also extended to Dr. Wallace Liang, Dr. Jeff Cohen and the many health professionals that provided care and support for Alan. <br/>We will remember your crooked smile, your ever present baseball cap and grieve your passing and will draw comfort in the knowledge that you are now free of the struggle and pain that became your daily companion, rest in peace Alan.<br/>A private family service will be held at WINDSOR CHAPEL (Banwell)11677 Tecumseh Rd E. 519-253-7234. Masks are required at the funeral home and cemetery .A public celebration of Alan's life will take place at a later date.
