Miss Slobada was my favourite grade 3 teacher at Roseland Public School. I still remember her and her teachings in my class. I will miss you loads..and my condolences go out to the entire family. As far as I can recall, she was an amazing, kind hearted and patient teacher I had in my childhood years. You will be missed !

Trish was one-of-a-kind. Behind her easy smile and infectious laughter, lay a deep wisdom of how to live well and live fully - by finding the lightness and humour in any situation, by seeing only the goodness in others, by loving fiercely. Her long battle with cancer revealed another side of Trish - her incredible courage, super-human strength and amazing grace in the face of adversity. Dear Trish, it was an honour to have you as a friend. The joy and inspiration you gave to so many of us will never be forgotten. Sincere condolences and much love to Steve, Marjorie, Danny and the Eagle and Sloboda families. Carmen Malena

I taught with Trish at Bellwood School early in her career. I remember her smile and her kindness. She was a ray of sunshine. While the news of her passing at such a young age is so sad, I'm so grateful to God that she claimed Him as her Savior and truly lives eternally, in perfect peace.

Steve, Marjory and Danny, I'm sorry for your loss. Trish and I grew up together on Stuart Avenue in Prince Albert, our mom's had coffee every morning and sometimes in the afternoon so we knew each other well. Trish had a great giggle and a sparkle in her eye that would light up a room. We didn't see each other as much in later years but did have a great visit at Waskesiu a few years ago. Our phone visits over the years proved how excited she was to be a parent and how incredibly proud she was of your swimming and piano talents. With sympathy, Patty Thompson

I have the fondest memories of time spent with Trish, from childhood visits at her family’s home in Prince Albert, to recent visits with her, and with Marjorie, Danny and Steve. Her sunny, positive way of looking at life was infectious, and was always in evidence, as was her love for her family. She will be missed.

Trish and I were very good friends and neighbors growing up. We had many great summers hanging out at Murray Point and Waskesiu campgrounds. Christmas mornings were spent running back and forth between her house and mine. Our other favorite thing to do was play Canasta, for hours. Living across country from one another for our adult years didn't allow us to see each other but our visit last summer was great. Our thoughts are with all of Trish's family and extended family during this time. She fought hard. We will miss you. Jill Tomlinson and family, Edmonton Alberta

Mrs. Sloboda was my grade 5 teach alongside with Mr. Lamb. She was always willing to listen to any problem I had and always had advice to overcome it. When my grandfather passed away, she was the only person who could calm me down and help me stop crying. She will always have a special spot in my heart.
