Obituary of Jack William Swinton
SWINTON, Jack William
August 10, 1936 - August 6, 2019
Survived by his loving wife Sheila for 46 years. Predeceased by parents John and Alice Swinton. Dearest Father of John, David, Jocelyn (Chris), Michael, Jodie O'Mara (Paul) and Glenn (Sara). Adored Grandfather to Anita, Candice, Samantha, Nicole. Leslye, Kenny, Dwayne, Mina, Tiffany, Andrew, Keith, Alora and Cali and great grandfather to 12. Jack is survived by sister Margaret (Don) McKenzie and sisters-in-law Linda (Wayne) Lesperance, Barbara (Doug) Messer and Barbara (Solli) Amihod. Jack will be missed by many nieces and nephews. Jack retired from Hiram Walker and Sons in 2001 as a sheet metal journeyman. Longtime volunteer with Scouts Canada and Hospice of Windsor. Jack’s many hobbies include traveling, camping, stain glass and woodcarving. Special thanks to all of the staff at Sun Parlour Nursing Home (Leamington) who have been so kind and loving for over 7 years. Visiting at WINDSOR CHAPEL (South Chapel) 3048 Dougall Ave., 519-253-7234 on Friday, August 9, 2019 from 2-5 and 7-9 pm. Parish prayers at 8:00 pm. Further visiting will continue at Sacred Heart Church (LaSalle) on Saturday, August 10, 2019 from 9:30 a.m. until time of funeral Mass at 10:00 am. Interment to follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to Hospice of Windsor-Essex County, St. Joseph’s Restoration Fund or a Charity of Choice.
