Obituary of Doreen Dennis

It is with sad hearts that we announce the passing of our mother Doreen. Beloved wife of Marcel (2007) for 60 years. Dear mother of Tom (Maureen), Colleen Vavasour (Lou), Patrick (Wendy), Rick (Connie) and Carol Ann (Curt Sexton). Loving grandmother of David (Ian Glass), Shawn (Nikki), Jeffrey (Jenn Rowe), Jennifer Pula (Robert), Jonathan (Vanessa), Christopher (Bridgette Cornell), Michelle (Jim Dean). Krista Farris (Don), and Bryan. G.G. to Jordyn, James, Eleri, Livy, Audrey, Molly, Lucy, Riley, Quinton, Lyla and Juliette. Survived by her sister Donna Renaud, brother Richard O’Connor, sister-in-law Bea O’Connor, and brother-in-law Patrick Devin. Predeceased by parents John and Clara O’Connor, sister Rita Oshoway, brothers Jack, Mattie and Terry. Aunt to many nieces and nephews. Doreen was a lifetime member of the Catholic Women’s League for 60 years. She will be missed by friends Audrey McArthur, Lois Comartin, Elmira Frenette and Rose Sabelli. A special thank you to Dr. Bergeron from Hospice, LIHN/CCAC, Jackie, Sonja, Lydia and nurse Karen Bray. Thank you to Oak Park Terrace-Marcella, Char, Kim, Ellen and Staff. Visitation at WINDSOR CHAPEL (Central Chapel) 1700 Tecumseh Rd. E 519-253-7234 on Wednesday, August 7, 2019 from 2-5pm and 7-9pm. Family and friends are asked to join the family on Thursday, August 8, 2019 at 9:30am in the Chapel with a Celebration of Life Service beginning at 10:00am. Interment to follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Windsor Essex County Cancer Centre Foundation or Hospice of Windsor.
