Obituary of Ina Sylvia Bernice Day

Ina Sylvia Bernice (Labbee) Day (neé Webber) passed away peacefully at the age of 98 on July 22, 2019. Mother of the late Percy "Butch" Labbee (Helen Labbee), Charlotte (Stan Hasiak), Leo Labbee (Laurie Knight), and Mona Lundy. She is predeceased by Jules Labbee, John Day, her parents, Joseph and Delcie Webber, her brother Oris Webber, and her sisters, Enid Robbins and Clare Hart. She is survived by her brother, Lorne Webber (Antigonish, Nova Scotia) and her sister, Gay Robbins (Courtright, Ontario). She was a loving grandmother to her 14 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild. She had many nieces, nephews, and cousins whom she loved dearly. Ina was born in Drumhead, Guysboro County, Nova Scotia and always loved coming home to her family and friends. She enjoyed travelling, and loved taking pictures when she did. Rarely would she leave the house without a disposable camera or two. She was fond of playing cards and was always more than happy to go to Bingo or the Casino. At home, if she wasn't reading a book or doing a crossword with her sister on the phone, she was knitting. The world is dimmer today without her light, but her warm spirit lives on in our hearts always. Visitation will be held at WINDSOR CHAPEL (South Chapel) 3048 Dougall Ave 519.253.7234 on Monday, July 29 2-5pm and 7-9pm. A Chapel Service will be held on Tuesday, July 30 at 1pm. Interment to follow at Victoria Memorial Gardens. In kindness, memorial donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
