It is with great sadness that the family of Sandra Hodgson announces her passing after a brief illness on June 17, 2019 at the vibrant age of 74. Sandy passed away at home with her loved ones by her side. Sandy was born April 1945 in Windsor, Ontario to Roseanne and Joseph Nassr. She attended St. Mary’s Academy and worked many years as a Registered Laboratory Technician at Hotel Dieu Grace Hospital. Sandy is predeceased by her parents, husband Jim, daughter Beth Bondy (Ron Bondy), and brother Dr. Donald Nassr (Kay Nassr). Sandy will be missed by her son Peter Hodgson (Diane Hodgson), sisters Jo-Ann Jamail (Charles Jamail), Cathy Shunock (Dr. George Shunock), and brother John Nassr (Vivian Nassr). Sandy leaves behind several devoted nieces and nephews, and cherished granddaughters, Sammi, Stefani, and Staci Bondy. Sandy was a special great grandma to Dallas and Spencer. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at a later date. “Gramma” Words you would use to describe Sandy ... Kind ... Compassionate ... Selfless ... Nurturing ... Thoughtful... Perfect ... Gramma. Gramma was unbelievably compassionate. Her heart and her generosity knew no bounds. At every birthday and holiday gramma made sure we received a card and a meal for our family. It was something that we all looked forward to every year. Gramma was fun. As children, we loved to go and visit her because we always had a good time. She loved to play games and play store especially with bags, lots and lots, of bags. Some would say that gramma was strong. Others determined. Some may even go as far as stubborn. She would budge only when she was good and ready, and on her terms. Nothing you could say or do could alter that. She was perfect. Perfect in every respect. Her laugh. Her smile. Her big kisses. Her hugs. Her calls. Oh the millions of calls on a daily basis. They were perfect and she was the perfect grandmother, and we are all a little closer to perfection to have had her in our lives. I love you gramma. You will be missed everyday.
