Obituary of Anna Grizan
Passed away peacefully with daughters by her side on May 28, 2019 at the age of 100 years just 2 weeks shy of her 101st birthday. She was born on June 10, 1918 in Balvi, Latvia.
Anna will be reunited with her loving husband, Antoni (1963), her parents and 9 siblings.
Loving mother of Mary Grizan and Rita and husband Dr. James Mohyi. Adored Oma to Diana Mohyi, Dr. Michelle and husband Joseph Yacob, John Mohyi, and Dr. Paula Mohyi. Great-Oma to Noah. Survived by her youngest brother Albert Niedra and family. She will be missed by family in Latvia and United States.
Anna`s greatest legacy was teaching her daughters the importance of staying close to God and managing finances. One of her favourite days of the year was the celebration of St. Anne`s Day. She worked at Metropolitan Hospital for 26 years, retiring in 1983.
Visitation will be held at WINDSOR CHAPEL (Central Chapel) 1700 Tecumseh Rd E 519.253.7234 on Thursday, May 30, 2019 from 5 until 8pm. Prayers at 5:30pm. Visitation will resume at Most Precious Blood Parish (1947 Meldrum) on Friday, May 31, 2019 from 11am until time of the Funeral Mass at 11:30am. Interment to follow at St. Alphonsus Cemetery.
