Obituary of Vera Duic

Passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family, on May 17, 2019 at the age of 88. Beloved wife of Tomo Duic, with whom she celebrated 50 years of marriage. Loving and devoted mother to Natalie Goldman and husband Peter, Anne Gelinas and husband Don, Michael Batrincha (2018), John Duic and wife Elsa, Tony Duic and wife Margo. Cherised "Baba" to many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Vera is predeceased by her mother, Danica Sojka (1996). A special thank you to WRH, Met. Campus, 6 North staff, especially Ryan for their compassionate care provided to Vera. A heartfelt thank you to mom's "Guardian Angels", Susie Guadagno and son Mataeo, and Krista Marie Davidson for always being attentive to mom's every need. Visitation at WINDSOR CHAPEL (Central Chapel) 1700 Tecumseh Rd. E. 519-253-7234 on Tuesday, May 21, 2019 from 3-5pm and 7-9pm. Parish prayers Tuesday at 8 pm. Funeral service on Wednesday, May 22, 2019 at 9:15am from the funeral home then to St. Francis of Assisi Croatian Catholic Church (1701 Turner Rd., Windsor) for Funeral Mass at 10am. Interment to follow at Windsor Memorial Gardens. As an expression of sympathy and to honour Vera's life, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Windsor-Essex or St. Francis of Assisi Church Building Fund.
