Obituary of Martial Joseph "Marcel" Mallais

MALLAIS: Martial Joseph “Marcel” Passed away peacefully on Friday, May 10, 2019 at Windsor Regional Hospital Met Campus, surrounded by his family. Born in Duguayville, New Brunswick to the late Levi and Judith Mallais. Beloved husband of the late Linda Mallais (nee Purdy 2010). Cherished father of Tammy Mallais, Allan Mallais and his wife Kimberly, David Mallais, and Joey Mallais and his wife Michelle. Proud Papa of Keith Lanno, the late Kyle Lanno (1993), Melissa Lanno, Mylaina Mallais, Tristan Mallais, Abigayle Mallais, Haley Mallais, Kameryn Mallais, Isayiah Mallais and Great Papa of Carter McGeein and Jasmine-Rose Lanno. Dear brother of Sylvia (late Paul), Léa (Sylvio), Ernestine (Dave) and Délisca (Léonard); Irenaeus (late Adrienne), the late Sylva (late Jeannette) and Norbert. Martial is remembered by his many nieces and nephews all across Canada. Martial retired nearly 20 years ago after working 38 years at Chrysler. He loved to play bingo and was known to many as the “Mayor of Windsor”. A very special “Thank You” to the doctors, nurses and support staff of the 5th floor at Met Hospital, and the caring and compassionate team at the Hospice of Windsor. Visitation will be held at WINDSOR CHAPEL (South Chapel) 3048 Dougall Ave 519-253-7234 on Monday, May 13, 2019 from 3:00-5:00 p.m. and 7:00-9:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 14, 2019 at 10:30 a.m. in the Chapel. Cremation to follow. Memorial donations made in memory of Martial to the Windsor Essex Cancer Centre are welcomed and appreciated by the family.
