Obituary of Linda Marie Krysiak
KRYSIAK, Linda
The Heavens are pleased to announce the arrival of Linda Marie Krysiak, their latest ray of sunshine, a woman of considerable talent, compassionate beyond compare, endowed with magnetic charm, an avid runner, loyal as a well fed cat, an aficionado of cheap champagne, and stunningly stylish to boot.
Through her life, Linda continually demonstrated a personal commitment to self improvement, no matter what she chose to tackle, thriving at all she did, while never compromising her high standards and values. During her 44 year career with the Federal Government, she developed many enduring friendships, and earned the respect and admiration of those she led.
Running also defined Linda’s life, rising daily at 4:00 am, getting kitted up, and hitting the road no matter the weather, while most of us lay asleep in bed. Competing in races from Detroit to Las Vegas, and at many points in Southwesterm Ontario, her passion and exuberance always shone through.
A fervent animal lover, it was Linda’s committed belief that they were a gift from above for they truly defined the words unconditional love. Animals, cats in particular, were a window to Linda’s soul, and a doorway to her spiritual destiny.
Linda led her life on her own terms, ascribing to Winston Churchill’s adage of “We make a living by what we get, we make a life by what we give”. Through her actions and words, she made the world around her a better place. Never without a smile, and always up for a good time with friends, her spirit was indefatigable. She will be forever missed, and never forgotten.
Linda will be lovingly missed by boyfriend Brett Foland, her brother, Richard Krysiak, sister-in-law Karen Tausendfreund, niece Stefanie Krysiak, her too many to name good friends at Canada Revenue Agency, and by all those whose paths she crossed where she tried, in her own small way, to make a difference. Linda is pre-deceased by her wonderful mother Malvina Krysiak and father Marian Krysiak.
Linda’s wish was that she be cremated, and she would frown upon anything other than a celebration of life held in her honour. In light of the severe restrictions imposed on public gatherings, the family has decided to hold a celebration in the new year, with both the date and venue to be announced later.
Linda was always happy to give her time, money, food or just simple kindness to both people and animals in need. The many squirrels that gather daily at her back door are a testament to her giving spirit! Linda would ask that anyone wishing to donate in her honour consider giving to the Hospice of Windsor & Essex County, the Downtown Mission of Windsor, or the Windsor/Essex County Humane Society.
