Obituary of Veronica Laporte

Laporte,Veronica “Vicky” February 12, 1925 – April 26, 2019 Passed peacefully at Extendicare Tecumseh. Daughter of Leo Pajot (1986) and Bertha Beneteau (1929). Predeceased by loving husband of 45 years, Leonard Laporte (1990). Wife of Donald Mahoney (2003). Cherished mother of Beverley Ann Jubenville (Ron), Connie Fauteux (Ron), Dennis (Deb), Alan (Rosemary), Guy (Craig Ashton), and late Gary (2007). Beloved Mim to Danielle, Becky (Mike), Scott (Rochelle), Abbey (Jeff), Katie (Alec), and Ashley. Great Meme to Kristen, Amber, Harper, Matthew, Jasmine, Ethan, Aiden, Logan, and Chelsea. Dear sister of Gerald Pajot (2018), Marc Pajot, Pauline Raham, Donald Pajot, Ronald Pajot (2017) and Bill Pajot. Dear Sister-in-law of Donald Laporte (Cathy), Rose Lappan (2016), Eva Benson (2018) Loved by many nieces and nephews. She will be dearly missed by her good friends Bob and Shelly Mahoney. Vicky was born and raised at the Pajot Farm on Martin Lane in River Canard. She met and married the love of her life, Leonard, and together on the Laporte family farm in Riverside they raised their six beautiful children, Bev, Connie, Dennis, Alan, Guy, and Gary. They transitioned from farming to retail and co-founded Johnson Sports in 1966. Len and Vicky loved travelling to Florida in the winter and brother Marc’s farm in the small town of Quyon, Quebec in the summer where many family reunions were held. Vicky was known for her quick wit, snappy remarks and especially her unique ability to communicate with pen and paper. She was “with it” until the end . We will miss her forever. Special thanks to the wonderful staff at Extendicare Tecumseh for their kindness and loving care of our mother. Cremation has taken place. Memorial visitation at Windsor Chapel (Banwell Chapel) 11677 Tecumseh Road East, 519-253-7234, on Monday, May 13th from 6-9pm. Prayers at 7:30pm. Memorial Visitation will continue on Tuesday May 14th at Good Shepherd Parish, 462 Advance Blvd, Tecumseh at 9:30am until memorial Funeral mass at 10am.
