Obituary of Mary Gorzny/Slade

GORZNY/SLADE, Mary (nee Mogus) Passed away peacefully in the comfort of her home on April 24, 2019 at the age of 95. Mary is predeceased by husbands, Bruno Gorzny (2004), Stjepan "Steve" Slade (1973), Mirko Mazuran (1951), and her one and only son, Mate Mazuran (2013). Dear mother in-law to Dorothea Mazuran. Cherished Grandmother "Majka" to Margie Mazuran (Brian Higginbottom) and Mike Mazuran. Dear aunt to Andy Bukovac (Eva) and family. Mary will be sadly missed by her step-daughters, Martha (Marc Whitham) and Trudy Gorzny. Predeceased by her sister Barica Bukovac. Mary was a long-time member of St. Francis of Assisi Croatian Church. Visitation at WINDSOR CHAPEL (Banwell Chapel) 11677 Tecumseh Rd. E. 519.253.7234 on Sunday, April 28, 2019 from 3-5pm and 7-9pm. Parish prayers at 8pm. Funeral service on Monday, April 29, 2019 at 9:45am from the funeral home then to St. Francis of Assisi Croatian Catholic Church for Funeral Mass at 10:30am. Entombment to follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to St. Francis of Assisi Croatian Church Building Fund or Heart & Stroke Foundation of Ontario.
