Obituary of Lorna E. Collacott
Lorna, at the age of 94, quietly slipped away on April 19, 2019.
Lorna has finally reunited with her late husband, John Sterndale Collacott (1974) to share stories and a dance in the sky.
Leaving behind her children; Janet Uhlmann (late Ulrich 2003), Jim (Linda), Joyce Cherwak (John), and Ron (Kathy), grandchildren; Katie Heikoop (Chris), Heather Collacott, Matthew Collacott, Alexandra Kargutkar (Bharat) and Ben Collacott, great-grandchildren; Noah, Charlotte, Evelyn, and Henry. Predeceased by her brother, Ronald (surviving, Betty) Fletcher. She will be sadly missed by her nieces, Sarah Fraser (Steven) and Susan Collacott (Tony Paine) and her nephews, Stephen Fletcher (Laura), Andrew Fletcher (Clare), and Read Collacott (Pam) and extended family members.
Lorna proudly lived in the family home that she built with Stern until she passed.
The family would like to extend an extra special thank you to Mum’s support workers, Rachelle, Teddy, Roberta, Laura, Melina, and Devin.
Visitation will be held at WINDSOR CHAPEL (Central Chapel) 1700 Tecumseh Rd E 519.253.7234 on Wednesday, April 24, 2019 from 2-5 & 7-9pm. Under the auspices of Windsor Veteran's Memorial Committee a veteran service will be held on Wednesday, April 24 at 7:30 p.m. Friends and family are asked to gather at St. Augustine of Canterbury Church (5145 Wyandotte Street E) on Thursday, April 25, 2019 from 11am until time of Funeral Service 11:30am. Cremation to follow.
In kindness, memorial donations may be made to Windsor-Essex County Humane Society or Canadian Historical Aircraft Association.
