Obituary of Imelda Hopkins

Hopkins, Imelda (nee White) Sept 11, 1946 - March 23, 2019 Passed peacefully away, surrounded by her family, after a courageous battle with cancer. Predeceased by parents John Thomas & Agnes White (nee. Mulholland). Imelda was the loving wife of John Robert (Bob), and proud mother to her children: Sean (Tammy), David (Vicki) and Lisa, and five grandchildren: Matthew, Michael, Mitchell, Olivia and Samuel. She is loved and survived by her siblings Rona (Jim) Buffett, Dennis (Bernice) White, Joan (Dave) Oliver, and Ian (Gloria) White. A special thank you to Windsor Regional Hospital Cancer Program, and especially the nurses and doctors at the Met Campus ICU for their compassionate care and kindness. In accordance with Imelda’s wishes, cremation will take place following a private family viewing. A memorial celebration to honor Imelda’s life will be held in the summer (2019) in Newfoundland (date/place to be determined). In lieu of flowers, and at the family’s request, donations in Imelda’s memory may be made to the Windsor Cancer Centre Foundation (2220 Kildare Road, Windsor, ON N8W 2X3, Phone: 519-254-5577).
