Obituary of Leke "Nick" Gjocaj
Leke “Nick” Gjocaj was born in Kosovo on January 8, 1987 to Dugagjin and Flora Gjocaj. Oldest sibling to brother Driton Gjocaj and sister Donika Gjocaj. Leke and his family came to Windsor as refugees in December of 1999. Leke appreciated Windsor and his new life in Canada, but never stopped missing his extended family and friends back in Kosovo. Leke was gifted with a warm and loving heart and a contagious laugh, which he generously shared. Leke was known for his genius ability to do just about anything he tried, from advanced mathematics to his natural affinity for the arts. He was also known as a problem solver who often took on difficult projects with immense ease. He teased his sister Donika endlessly, and sought to his younger brother Driton for his taste in style. Our hearts feel empty without him here; words cannot adequately convey the depth of our sorrow. Fly free, dear Leke. You are loved.
Visitation at WINDSOR CHAPEL (Banwell Chapel) 11677 Tecumseh Road East 519-253-7234 on Tuesday, March 19, 2019 from 7-9pm. Leke will be brought back to his beloved Kosovo where he will be laid to rest surrounded by his loving family. For those who wish, memorial donations may be made to Leke’s family.
