Obituary of George Yatscoff
YATSCOFF, George
George died peacefully on March 8, 2019 in his 92nd year. He was born in Welland, Ontario on April 30, 1927. Throughout his life he was an active businessman owning a grocery store and hotels throughout Ontario. More importantly, he was a good Christian who made time for prayers every night. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus for over 60 years. He leaves his beloved wife of 73 years, Anne. They were partners not only in business but in all aspects of life. He will be greatly missed by his two children, Gloria Jershy of Tecumseh and Randall Yatscoff and daughter-in-law Nancy of Edmonton. He was predeceased by his parents George and Anne, his father-in-law William and mother-in-law Mary Senkiw, son-in-law Robert Jershy, his brother Andrew, sister Rose Boyko and brothers-in-law Morris Senkiw and Donald Boyko. He will also be mourned by his grandsons and their spouses, Brent Jershy (Jennifer) and their children Zachary, Nora and Chloe; Ryan Jershy (Colleen) and their children Alana and Andrew; Michael Yatscoff (Emily) and their children Catherine, Audrey and Anna; and Christopher Yatscoff (Andrea) and their children Camryn, Mila and Jordyn. His great joy in his later life was his 11 great-grandchildren. They always brought a smile to his face. He was their great grandpa George. We would like to thank the staff at Livingstone Tecumseh Extendicare for their compassion and service that went beyond the call of duty.
