Obituary of Charles Robert Ebbinghaus

It is with the saddest of hearts that the passing of Charles Robert Ebbinghaus has occurred on February 22, 2019 on his 88th birthday. Charles (Bob) was a loving husband to the late Evelyn Maye Ebbinghaus (nee Marshall)(1996). Charles is survived by his children Robin Lynne Ellis (Jeff), Charles Robert Ebbinghaus (Tina), Gregory Allen Ebbinghaus (Deborah), Timothy David Ebbinghaus (Simone), and Charlotte Beth Deshon (Tim). Charles was a loving grandfather to the following grandchildren Caitlin, Thomas, Derick, Zachary, Chloe, Taylor, Alexis, Charlotte, Travis, Marissa and Michelle. Charles led a very simple life with an enormous set of accomplishments including Owner and President of Ebbinghaus Electric Ltd, Past President and Board of Director of the Windsor Electrical Contractors Association, Past President and Board of Director of the Victorian Order of Nurses, Board of Director for the Electrical Contractors Association of Ontario, Past Chairman of the Windsor-Essex County International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Joint Apprenticeship Council, Past President and Board of Director for the Windsor Downtown Lions Club, Former Manager of Lions Manor, Former District Commissioner Boy Scouts Canada (Windsor), Past President and Board of Director Windsor Executives. Charles will be sadly missed by all the family and hearts he touched within the community. Charles is grateful for all the care he received from all the nurses, PSW’s, hospital staff and Hospice and VON over the years. Visitation will be held at WINDSOR CHAPEL (Banwell Chapel) 11677 Tecumseh Rd. E. 519-253-7234 on Sunday, February 24, 2019 from 2-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Monday, February 25, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel, followed by interment at Victoria Memorial Cemetery.
