Obituary of Lynn Lackner

It is with broken hearts that we announce the unexpected passing of our beloved Lynn on February 7, 2019 at the age of 75. Cherished and loving husband to Mary, with whom he shared 52 years of marriage. Treasured dad to April (Frank) Palumbo and Chris (Julija) Lackner. Proud and doting Grampa to Mya and Matteo Palumbo, and Milanija and Makalija Lackner. Predeceased by parents Reginald and Edna Lackner. Dear brother-in-law to John (Jean) Hodolich, Helen Ralston (Hoss Dewald), and the late Jerry Ralston. Will be remembered by nieces and nephews, Tracey, Gerry, Sherry, Rick, and Felecia. Lynn will be greatly missed by his best friend, Jack McCallum. Lynn retired from Dan Kane after dedicating 33 years of his career. His love of cars extended to his many life-long friendships he made throughout the years. Lynn could often be found in his garage building Street Rods, but his greatest passion was his role as a Grampa. A special thank you to the First Responders, especially Windsor Fire and Rescue, for their care of Lynn in his final moments. A Celebration of Lynn’s Life to take place at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 594, 5030 Howard Avenue, on Tuesday, February 12, 2019 from noon to 4pm. Please wear your favourite jeans and Street Rod t-shirts. Cremation arrangements entrusted to WINDSOR CHAPEL (Central Chapel) 519-253-7234. For those who wish, memorial donations can be made to Hospice of Windsor Essex County. Cherished memories and online condolences can be shared at www.windsorchapel.com
