Obituary of Joseph Slisz
Passed away peacefully on January 31, 2019 at the age of 81. Reunited with his beloved wife, Julia (nee Zappia) (2018) with whom he celebrated 51 years of marriage. Loving father to Larry St. Antoine (Vi), Laura St. Antoine, and Michael Slisz (Stacey). Cherished Papa to Katie Hebert (Yannick), Marie St. Antoine, Denny Ausman (Jen), Angelina Ausman, Christopher & Brandon Lenz, and Mia, Elaina, Keira, Sofia, Amelia and Tiberius Dear brother to Borika (Zoli) and Veronika (Istvan); all of Hungary. Dear brother in-law to Thomas Zappio (Louise). Joseph was a retired tool and die maker at General Motors and a member of CAW Local 1973. He was also an active member and volunteer for many years at Mindszenty Hall, where he was well known for making sausages. A heartfelt thank you to the caring staff at Paramed, Hospice, V.O.N.and L.I.H.N. for their exceptional and compassionate care provided to Joseph. Visiting at WINDSOR CHAPEL (Central Chapel), 1700 Tecumseh Rd. E., 519-253-7234 on Thursday, February 7, 2019 from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm. Funeral Service to celebrate Joseph's life on Friday, February 8, 2019 at 11am. in the Chapel. Cremation to follow.
