Obituary of Barbara Subasich

SUBASICH, Barbara (nee Bendekovic) It is with broken hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Barbara, a loving Mother and Baba on January 14, 2019 at Brouillette Manor, at the age of 95. Reunited with her beloved husband Mike Subasich (1994). Loving Mother to Anka Sebalj and late husband Mate (2017) and Barbara Marsich and husband John. Cherished Baba to Kathleen Fioret and her children, Cameron and Emma, and their father Patrick; Darlene Douglas and husband Chris, and their children, late Nicholas (1997), Michael, Jonathan, Thomas and Adana; Karen Simone and husband John, and their children, Matthew, Brandon and Michael; Marlene Gingras and husband Greg, and their children, Ryan, Joseph and Grace. Predeceased by parents Janko and Marica Bendekovic and sister Ana Bendekovic. Barbara was a faithful and devoted member of St. Francis of Assisi Croatian Catholic Church. She took great pride in being the matriarch of the family and taking care of her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A heartfelt and sincere thank you to the Staff at Brouillette Manor for their exceptional and compassionate care provided to our Mother and Baba. Visitation at WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME (Central Chapel) 1700 Tecumseh Rd. E. 519.253.7234 on Friday, January 18, 2019 from 3-5p.m. and 7-9p.m. Parish prayers Friday at 8 p.m. Funeral Services on Saturday, January 19, 2019 at 9:15 a.m. from the funeral home then to St. Francis of Assisi Croatian Catholic Church (1701 Turner Rd., Windsor) for Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. Interment to follow at Windsor Memorial Gardens. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to honour Barbara's life may be made to St. Francis of Assisi Croatian Church Building Fund.
