Barb was a Volunteer with Windsor Essex Children's Aid Society for 22 years. She was a Volunteer Driver but much more than that. She was a child's consistent adult in their life. She was a welcoming smile at the end of a visit. She was a laugh at the end of a corny joke. She was a caring heart for the foster homes and parent homes who had the good fortune to have her as their Volunteer Driver. To us, in Volunteer Services, she was and always will be 'Our Barb', someone we could count on, someone we knew looked out for the children she drove. There will never be another Barb. We are so honoured to have known her. She enriched our lives and made a difference in this world. Till we meet again Barb. Carol Lockhart.
