My prayers and deep sympathy for the whole family. As you all know, and are proud of all the achievements, honours, awards and important positions Don had,and deserved, my fondest memories of him are of his humility, and ability to be a part of and help for those less well off than him. When I was in rough times, and went to him for advice or support, often I would meet him with a load of worries, fears, problems, we would just talk, man to man, equal , and I always went out relieved, clear minded and confident. That is the man I remember. Kindly, caring and helpful. His time as Master didn''t change him, he was just Don with a title. Although we were several classes apart, he always knew me and greeted me as if I was equal, Don was equal to all classes and races, and will be missed by all. I really wanted to tell you all this in person, but was unable to find a ride out to the wake, no busses that far out, and I sadly missed a bus to the funeral Mass. So sorry for your great loss, but he is now spreading his good spirit, cheer and wisdom in heaven. My personal saint. Thank You Bob Burns PFN PGK and wife Lin i

Dear Family of Don, We were sad to get the news of Don''s passing. It always seems like a harder loss at this time of year when families are gathering to share Christmas. He was such a lovely man. I am sure Betty greeted him wearing her big straw hat all bedecked with bright flowers. Another lovely person I was fortunate to meet at the Dudley reunions. We extent heartfelt sympathy to all of you. Cathie, Lanny and family

Our deepest sympathy to all the Strong family at this difficult time. We remember the many times Don attended the Dudley Reunions... Especially his friendly way to all who went. We think of the Cottage at Erie Beach for many of the earlier reunions and the "ice'' cream"! Our kids remember all the good times we shared with Don & we talked about all of those memories this week. Don will be missed by all of our family as well as the friends he had. Rob was so good at bringing his dad over the last few years.& we are thankful he did!
