Obituary of George Harold William Winney

WINNEY, George Harold William March 5, 1949 " Dec 22, 2018Passed peacefully with his loving wife, family and friends by his side. Loving and wonderful husband to Valerie. Beloved father to Matthew (Jamie), Kevin Bas (Kelly), Keith Shepherd and Ronnie McManus. Cherished grandfather to Jordan and Nathan. Predeceased by his mother Dorian Davey. Dear brother of Charollette Gooder (John), brother-in-law of Sheila Horen and Debi Truslove, and son-in-law of Millie Horen (Alex). George will be missed by his nieces, nephews, numerous friends and sadly missed by his fur babies Jose and Lucy. George was a Canadian Air Forces Veteran, retired Ford employee and proud owner of Forever Free. He was dedicated to helping others and was loved by so many in the biker community. Motorcycles were his passion. He belonged to the North Wall Riders Association and he was a strong supporter of the Downtown Mission. Visitation will be at the WINDSOR CHAPEL (Banwell Chapel) 11677 Tecumseh Rd E (519)253-7234 on Friday Dec 28, 2018 from 6-9 p.m., and Saturday from 11 a.m. until time of funeral service at 12:00 p.m. in the Chapel under the auspices of the Windsor Veterans Memorial Services Committee.
