Obituary of Orville John Robert

ROBERT, Orville JohnJune 24, 1920-November 28, 2018Passed away peacefully at WRH-Met Campus at the age of 98. Orville will be missed by his loving companion Susan Schreiner. Dear father of Lorna Rose, Irene Carter (Jim), Sandy MacPherson (late Willy) and step father to Don Robert (Carol). Cherished grandfather of Darrel McCracken, Jason Rocheleau, Matthew Rocheleau, Colin MacPherson, Ryan MacPherson, Shane MacPherson, Alison Fleming and great grandfather of Bryce McCracken, Conner McCracken and Reece McCracken. Predeceased by his parents Arthur and Ida, and his siblings, Edna, Cliff, Felix, Van, Clarence, Bertha, Normand and Eveline. Orville served in the Army overseas during WWII and was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Br. 143. He retired from Ford Motor Company after many dedicated years of service. He was proud of his farm and his own recipes for pickles and horseradish, which were enjoyed by many. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Visiting at WINDSOR CHAPEL (Central Chapel), 1700 Tecumseh Rd. E., 519-253-7234 on Friday, November 30, 2018 from 3-5pm and 7-9pm. Parish prayers at 4:30pm. Further visitation will continue at Most Precious Blood Catholic Church (1947 Meldrum Road, Windsor), on Saturday, December 1, 2018 from 9am until time of Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. Interment to follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery.
