Obituary of Betty Marie Closs

It is with saddened hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Betty just 3 days shy of her 92nd birthday. Cherished and devoted mother of Paul Closs and wife Lowanna and Pat Mulvey and husband Kevin. Treasured grandma of Cathleen Beasley and husband Paul, Danielle Friest and husband Greg and Jocelyn Closs and fianc" Ryan MacPherson. Adored great grandma of Gavin and Finn Beasley. Reunited with her parents Stan and Belle Gibbs and her sister Sybil Kemp. Dear sister of Ross Gibbs and wife Joan. Mom, we will miss your delicious homecooked meals (and especially those pies!), your well-tended garden, your sage advice, your beautiful artwork and even your numerous written "to-do" lists. Independent, creative, resourceful, feisty, Betty was, most of all, a loving and devoted Mom and Gram always and forever. As per Betty"s wishes, cremation has taken place. Memorial Visitation will be held at Good Shepherd Parish (462 Advance Blvd.) on Monday November 26, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. until time of Memorial Mass at 11:00 a.m. Interment will take place at a later date at her birthplace in Oshawa.
