Obituary of John Sylvestre

It is with saddened hearts that we announce the sudden passing of John on November 1, 2018 surrounded by his loving family and friends. Reunited with his loving parents John and Bev (nee Gauthier) Sylvestre and grandparents Leonard and Elizabeth Sylvestre and Albert Gauthier. Dear grandson of Dorothy Gauthier. Much loved brother of Darin Sylvestre, Dionne Shepley and husband Rodney and Raquel Pettine and husband Ray. Cherished uncle of Tara, Nick, Luc, Dan (Darcy), Diana, Max, Ava, Jace and Cohen. Special friend of Renee Kindl. He will also be missed by his fur baby Rex and the Sylvestre and Gauthier Families. John and his brother Darin, along with their parents John and Bev, were the proud owners of Cedarhurst Landscaping Company Ltd for many years. John will also be remembered for his love of Racing at South Buxton Raceway and his love for hunting and the outdoors. Visitation will be held at WINDSOR CHAPEL (Banwell Chapel) 11677 Tecumseh Road, East on Sunday November 4, 2018 from 2-4 p.m. and Monday November 5, 2018 from 2-4 6-8 p.m. Prayers Monday at 7:30 p.m. Visitation will continue at Good Shepherd Parish (462 Advance Boulevard) on Tuesday November 6, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. until time of Funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m. Interment to follow at St. Williams Cemetery. In memory of John, and in lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Windsor and Essex County.
