Obituary of Ferucio Zanier

It is with deeply saddened hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Ferucio surrounded by his loving family at 85 years of age. Beloved husband for 59 years to Edda (nee Pagnucco). Loving dad to Rita (Rob) Danelon and Ugo (Lucille) Zanier. Proud and loving Nonno to Brianna and Justin Danelon and Alicia and Adam Zanier. Loving brother and brother in law to Francesco (1941), Luigi (1986) & Angela Zanier, Angelina & Luigi Bellot (2004), Eni (2018) & Giovanni Pittaro (2014) and Tony (2010) & Angelina Pagnucco. Reunited with his parents Giovanni and Rosa. He is survived by many nieces and nephews here and in Italy. He was a dedicated employee of Chrysler Canada for over 35 years and a proud member of Giovanni Caboto Club. He enjoyed making wine and took great pride in his garden but nothing brought him more joy than spending time with his grandchildren. A heartfelt thank you to all the doctors and nurses starting with Dr. K. F. Chung, Dr. Kay, Dr. Hirmiz, Dr. Valcke and especially Dr. Sheri Bergeron. Thank you also to the VON nurses especially Susan and all the wonderful nurses, PSWs and the team at Hospice who showed such compassion for him especially in his final days. Visitation at WINDSOR CHAPEL (Central Chapel) 1700 Tecumseh Rd. East. 519.253.7234. on Wednesday, October 10, 2018 from 2-5 and 7-9pm. Parish prayers at 4:30pm. Funeral service on Thursday October 11, 2018 at 10:15am from the funeral home and then to Most Precious Blood Church (1947 Meldrum Rd) for funeral mass at 11:00am. Entombment to follow at Windsor Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made through mass donations or memorial donations to The Hospice of Windsor & Essex County.
