Obituary of Rose Stojkovic

STOJKOVIC, Ruza "Rose" (nee Benic) It is with broken hearts we announce the peaceful passing of Ruza, a loving Mother, Baba, Grandma and Great-Grandma on September 14, 2018 at the age of 94, surrounded by her daughter Helen. Loving and devoted mother to Helen Poljak and late husband Joseph (2015) of Mt. Vernon, Ohio. Cherished Baba to JoAnn Yantis (Bradley), Mariann Vance (Christopher); all of Ohio and Patricia Poljak of Fairfax, Virginia. Great Grandma to Cole Vance and Cory Vance. Dear cousin to Deanna Agla (nee Benic)(Ronald) of Sebring, Florida. Predeceased by parents Petar and Barbara Benic and sister Dragica Trcek. Ruza was a faithful and long-time member of St. Francis of Assisi Croatian Church. Rose was a very loving person who cherished her family and friends. A heartfelt thank you to W.R.H., Ouellette Campus staff for their exceptional compassion and care provided to Rose and her family. Visitation at WINDSOR CHAPEL (Central Chapel) 1700 Tecumseh Rd. E. 519.253.7234. on Tuesday, September 18, 2018 from 5-9 pm. Parish prayers at 8 pm. Funeral Services on Wednesday, September 19, 2018 at 9:30 am from the funeral home then to St. Francis of Assisi Croatian Catholic Church for Funeral Mass at 10 am. Interment to follow at Windsor Memorial Gardens Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to honour Ruza"s life may be made to Hospice of Windsor or St. Francis of Assisi Church Building Fund.
