Obituary of Steve Zalger

It is with sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Steve on September 14, 2018 at the age of 93. Beloved husband to Violet, with whom he shared 69 wonderful years of marriage. Cherished father to Gary (Susan) Zalger and Carol Zalger (Asterios Papahadzis). Treasured grandfather to Lindsey (James) Bashura and Jordan Papahadzis. Proud great-grandfather to Makinley. Steve will be remembered by his sisters, Sophie (the late Jim) Pearson, Ruth Venus, and Lily Napier. Reunited with his parents John and Theresa and his siblings, Mike, Johnny and Theresa. Visitation to take place at WINDSOR CHAPEL (Central Chapel) 1700 Tecumseh Road East 519-253-7234 on Monday, September 17, 2018 from 2-5pm and from 7-9pm. A Veteran"s Service will be held at 7:30pm. Steve"s Funeral Service to take place in the funeral home chapel on Tuesday, September 18, 2018 at 11:30am. Burial to follow at Heavenly Rest. For those who wish, memorial donations can be made to the Diabetes Association.
