Obituary of Lou Quaglia

QUAGLIA, Lou Our dear Lou, devoted husband of 46 years to Wilma, loving and proud father of Christine, son of the late Fiore and Irene, oldest brother of Dilia (Frank), Sal, Mario (Judy), Al (Sue), Joanne, and Angelo; son-in-law of the late Gennaro and Maria, bonus brother of Armando and Rita; uncle to numerous nieces and nephews, godfather and friend to many, passed away peacefully in the home he loved dearly on Thursday, September 6, 2018, at the age of 74. Lou was a very social and outgoing man who enjoyed storytelling, playing cards with his poker pals, bocce ball with his buddies and golfing with his brothers. He loved nature and spent many happy hours cultivating his garden. He also enjoyed travelling, collecting rocks and a variety of music. Lou lived his life according to the mantra of one of his favourite songs, "My Way". One of his greatest passions was teaching. He loved engaging with young people and was privileged to do so for 36 years at F.J. Brennan High School where he began and ended his career. Lou was one-of-a-kind, irreplaceable and we will miss him immensely. Visiting at WINDSOR CHAPEL (Banwell Chapel) 11677 Tecumseh Rd. East 519-253-7234 on Monday, September 10, 2018 from 4-9pm.
