Seconda''s passing has been a page torn from many lives, mine included. I have known her since I was a child and have numerous warm memories. They include her gentle, loving husband Lorenzo, her scrumptious homemade gnocchi, hilarious conversations over coffee in the kitchen on McKay..and many more. She was an organized, meticulous woman whose gardening, sartorial and culinary efforts reflected her perfectionism. I did not see much of her in her later years, but from all accounts she never stopped. She maintained her independence in the home where she raised her children and then assisted in the upbringing of her beloved grandchildren. I am sure their nonni stories are numerous heartwarming accounts of her selfless love and devotion. Rita, you and Angelo were devoted, attentive children who facilitated her independence, but always kept a watchful eye. Her physical presence is no longer, but her rich legacy of joyful memories will eventually be a source of solace, comfort and laughter. Ri, I am so sorry I am unable to be there with you, but know that my thoughts and prayers are with you these next few trying days. Mary Carlesimo Casalvieri, Italy
