Tortola, DomenicaBorn in Miranda, Isernia, Italy December 28, 1929, passed away peacefully on September 1, 2018 at Windsor Regional Hospital Metropolitan Campus at the age of 88 years. Beloved and cherished wife of 64 years to late Frank Tortola. Loving mother of John Tortola (Antoinette), Frank Tortola (Mary) and Elisa Tortola. Dear daughter of the late Felice and Clelia Tortola. Loving Nonna of Christopher (Mary-Ann), John (Claudia), Michael (Natasha), Marc and Anthony. Dear Bis Nonna of Angelina, Antonio, Alessio, Elena, Gianluca, Gianfranco and Luca. Dear sister of late Salvatore Tortola (Assunta), late Vincenzo Tortola (Filomena) and late Maria D"Agostino (Salvatore) and sister-in-law of the late Filomena and Michele DeBenedictis, and Domenico Tortola (Assunta) of Italy. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews in Canada, the U.S.A. and Italy. After first immigrating to Canada, Domenica worked at Hotel Dieu Hospital, in a local laundromat, a glove factory and restaurant; but the majority of her life was dedicated to her family as a loving mother, wife, sister, and friend. Visitation will be held at WINDSOR CHAPEL (South Chapel) 3048 Dougall Avenue 519-253-7234 on Tuesday, September 4, 2018 from 3-5pm and 7-9pm. Parish prayers to take place at 3:30pm. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 5, 2018 at 8:45am from the funeral home then going to St. Angela Merici for Funeral Mass at 9:30am.
