Obituary of Milivoj Derkovic

It is with saddened hearts that we announce the unexpected passing of Milivoj on August 12, 2018 at 85 years of age. Reunited with his loving wife Stanka (nee Deur) with whom he celebrated 57 years of marriage. Dear Father of Tomislav Pocedic and wife Nene Tesija-Pocedic. Cherished Dida of Jelena Pocedic (fianc" Aaron), Marko Pocedic and wife Kira and Eric Pocedic and wife Alta. Great grandfather of Alexandria, Phoenix, Josephine and Hyrum. Beloved brother of Zorica Derkovic. Special uncle of Vlatka, Eddy, Pascal, Tomey and Chloe. Milivoj retired from Chrysler after many years of dedicated service. Milivoj was a proud and devoted member of the Croatian Community and a long-time parishioner of St. Francis of Assisi Croatian Catholic Church. He also dedicated many years as a 4th Degree Knight with the Cardinal A. Stepinac Council #11774. When he wasn"t busy with the Croatian Community or with the Knights of Columbus, you could find him spending time fishing around Windsor and Essex County. Visitation will be held at WINDSOR CHAPEL (Central Chapel) 1700 Tecumseh Rd.East, 519-253-7234 on Friday August 17, 2018 from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. Knights of Columbus Prayers at 7:30 p.m. and Parish Prayers at 8:00 p.m. Funeral Service Saturday August 18, 2018 at 9:15 a.m. from the Funeral Home to St. Francis of Assisi Croatian Catholic Church for Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. Interment to follow at Windsor Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
