Obituary of Alosia Mifflin
It is with saddened hearts that we announce the passing of Betty with her loving son by her side on August 4, 2018 at 88 years of age. Predeceased by her husband Donald Mifflin (2005). Cherished and devoted Mother of Ken Sawchuk. Adored Gramma of Kristy, Kacy (Michael) Walschots and Kylee. Dear mother-in-law of Gayle Sawchuk. Beloved sister of the late Andrew Hudec, Irene Schippel and Bill Hudec. She will also be missed by her dear cousin Mary Crepp, many nieces, nephews and friends throughout Canada and the US. Special friend of Tim and Sharon Allen and family, Leah and Dave Orosz and family and Patrick and Linda Lucier. Betty worked for many years at Alexander Grant Accounting Firm in Detroit as a book keeper. She will always be remembered for her love of canning, bargain hunting and her kind and caring heart. A special thank you to Dr. Hamm, Dr. Gupta, Dr. Morvay, Dr. Burgess of Hospice and all of the staff at C.C.A.C., VON and Dyna Lab, and 7 West nursing staff at the Ouellette Campus for your care and compassion given to Betty over the years. Visitation will be held at WINDSOR CHAPEL (Central Chapel) 1700 Tecumseh Rd. East, 519-253-7234 on Friday August 10, 2018 from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Cremation to follow. In memory of Betty, memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Windsor & Essex County or to the Windsor Essex County Cancer Centre Foundation.
